Cherie Sprosty New York, NY NCCL 2012 Liturgy Coordinator
Cherie Sprosty has been a parish liturgist for twenty-two years. Her early years as an actor and singer have complemented her work in formation and liturgy preparation. In California, she coordinated the regional liturgy conference for Los Angles, was a frequent presenter for Archdiocesan ministry formation of lectors, communion ministers and hospitality ministers, as well as assisting with the dedication of the new cathedral. Cherie has prepared liturgy for national gatherings, including acting as a local liturgy coordinator for the Church's national jubilee celebration, "Encuentro." With her husband, Fred Applegate, she lives in New York City where she continues working in parish liturgy and conference coordination.
Pedro Rubalcava NCCL 2012 - Music Coordinator
Pedro Rubalcava is a nationally known clinician and performer with expertise in various musical styles. He has been directing liturgical music groups for more than 30 years. For the past 26 years, he has been working in professional pastoral ministry in various areas, including liturgy and music, evangelization, youth and young adult ministry, catechetical ministry and RCIA. Pedro received national recognition in 1990 when Amanecer, his bilingual music collection, was nominated for a Grammy award in the Best Mexican/American Performance category. Currently, Pedro is the director of Hispanic ministries for OCP. He also serves on the executive board of the Instituto Nacional Hispano de Liturgia as the Northwest representative. He lives in Boring, Oregon, with his wife, Kristin, and their two children.
